Julie is an amazing person. She is easy to work with and truly looks out for the best interest of the client. She is very knowledgeable and helps with every detail along the way. She is definitely my go-to Realtor!!

When moving out of our Burns Park home, my husband and I requested proposals and market analysis from several top realtors in the Ann Arbor area. Julie's proposal was head and shoulders above the rest. She made extensive use of social media, leveraged her network of realtor colleagues, as well as other methods to drive interest in a one-day open house that was the cornerstone of her proposal. Over 100 people attended the one-day only open house and in the following two days, we received 5 qualified offers. We accepted one on day three in excess of the listed price. Julie was with us all the way and we believe her strategy and pricing model made all the difference in our successful home sale. Burns Park is a very select market in Ann Arbor but has homes that vary greatly in size, style, and condition. Julie brought great attention and analysis to the pricing of our house and it made a big difference. Julie is highly professional, highly responsive, very knowledgable, works very very hard, super easy to work with, very ethical and very smart. We have bought and sold 5 homes and have used very well-regarded and accomplished realtors in the past .. But Julie sets a new bar for excellence. We think the world of her expertise and experience .. And highly highly recommend her!!

Julie Picknell is a consummate professional. Julie worked tirelessly on my behalf to promote our very unconventional home, dealing creatively with its many quirks, and steering me through the inevitable complications of negotiating a sale. She was a rock. Her skill, empathy, and unfailing good humor made selling our family home a positive experience.

This is my 7th house. I had come to think of realtors as sort of a necessary evil. Julie Picknell completely reversed all of my beliefs about the profession. As a Buyer, I was not directly paying Julie out of pocket, but I would happily have paid extra to have her on the real estate deal. She offers value far and above her commission. And I don't just mean that she has good customer service (though she has outstanding customer service skills.) I mean that she provided advice that resulted in me paying less, and also being better protected from unforeseen events and damages to the degree that I can quantify her value above and beyond that of her knowledge, charm and service. Additionally, it is worth saying that Julie is the type of person you want working for you. If I knew that robots from the future were coming to get me (think of the Terminator movies), I would call Julie. She is less real estate agent than force of nature - constantly on the go, tirelessly working, fixing, helping. Her energy and desire to make her clients' life better is boundless. Should I ever move out of state, I will need to figure out how to take her with me to buy a house. There truly are none like her.

While Zillow's "starred" categories (local market knowledge, expertise, responsiveness, and negotiation skills) are significant and relevant strengths for realtors, they are, in large part, learned skills. Julie, with her deep experience, typically and routinely, excels in all! But to me her most important gift is one that cannot be learned, and that's her uncompromising honesty. For example: at a recent closing Julie deftly brokered an ongoing-and seemingly-endless home sale for me in terms that I was exceptionally satisfied with. Less than a week later I received a check from Julie for an additional $20,000! Even though she clearly knew that I could not have been happier with the original terms, she had typically, over the next several days, scrupulously (and conscientiously) reviewed all the paperwork and, in the process had discovered a $20,000 mistake, in my favor, that the title company had mistakenly made. No one else had caught it - embarrassing as it is to admit - including myself. In other words, Julie did not have to tell anyone about the error and could have easily pocketed an extra 20 grand but her honesty was more important. I have worked with her for almost 15 years and can not praise her enough. She’s always the best!

Recently divorced Julie reassured me that I would find a great home within my budget for me and my son. She did just that. Very responsive and she made the entire process very stress free for me. Has great recommendations for contractors. I consider Julie a friend. She's great!
